a BIG Thank YOU for Black Gay & Black Lesbian Youth!
I was pleasantly pleased and almost shocked to find out that a group of Black Gay, Black Lesbian and Black Trans gendered youth confronted Jannie Blackwell's staff about getting a young BLack person to run for Her City Council seat. I don't know for sure if this had anything to do with the kind letter I wrote to Jannie & made public, but I am very, very proud of these Black youth for their courage, for the bold tactics they used, and for having the audacity to take such actions. I even heard that a group of young BLACK people were arrested! I can't believe that Ms. Blackwell has the nerve to run again after 26 years in office. When do our BLACK youth get a chance to run, win & implement the positive changes and the positive policies we need to truly move forward? Just politely asking a question. right, Denzel? I LOVE BLACK PEOPLE!. Please know that I make mistakes sometimes. If you hear a rumor about something I goofed up, please give me and the media and social media a chance to get the truth out to you.

why I'm a Republican
Why I Am a Republican – Not the Reasons
You Think
By Tracy Charles Gibson
I, Mr. Tracy Charles Gibson, joined
the Republican
Party about two years ago for three major reasons.
1] As I was healing and recovering from depression and being
treated for high blood pressure over the last 20 years, the Democratic Party never
really took interests in me to help me find a viable job. { I have to admit
that City Councilwoman Jannie L. Blackwell was the exception to the rule. She
actually sent out resumes and work requests for me several years ago, but I
still could not find a job. }. All I needed was about 20 hours a
week of work, but it was not forthcoming. This frustrated me so I joined the
Republican Party, partially in protest to the entrenched Democratic control of
Philadelphia’s political system and Black voters. In reading
this, please note that I have a history of mental instability that has to be
considered at any job I hold, but mostly I want to work for myself at my own
company. Most of the mental instability has stabilized itself after
some 37 years of therapy and effective medications -- both of these
effective healing elements { medications & therapy } I have successfully
continued with.
2] I also joined the Republican Party because
I feel the Republican Party, if stripped from its more extreme views, right-wing
ideologies, hatefulness, and racism, is actually a more effective formation for
success for Black people because the Republicans ``talk’’ about building a
lucrative business foundation as opposed to relying of public works projects
& social programs. Like my Grandfather, Mr. Saint Clair Gibson,
I want to see our Black people advance at business ownership, both small,
middle sized and large businesses. These businesses MUST be run properly
& responsibly, be well-managed, be professional, & be unfettered by
White, Arab, Asian or Latin interests, except where necessary and agreed upon,
and have affordable, and have a top-flight Black security staff to protect us
from harm and business interruptions. We must also protect ourselves
as Black business professionals and the Black businesses themselves from
computer hacking, computer fraud, phone deceptions, mail fraud, government
harassment, discrimination, and other social and or political concerns that are
sometimes designed to stop Black businesses in their tracks. In a
nut shell, successful Black businesses running smoothly, are a much bigger
asset and a much more effective stabilizing force in our Black community and
among our Black people than social programs that are often washed away with
elections, political bickering in Washington, on the state level, and of
course, locally. Creating a source for Black jobs and Black financial
self-sufficiency –individual and corporate sufficiency, -- is very important
and has been proven to stabilize Black families, help our Black youth with
their studies and with increasing good family values, and in helping us as
Black people by creating balance and stability in Black churches, Black private
schools, Black public schools and Black charter school.
Turning towards a strong Black private business structure and way from unstable
and fought-over public programs is a big plus for BLACK people, and many of us
are learning this.
3] It cannot be stressed enough that the problems of racism,
homophobia, transphobia, Xenophobia, Islamophobia, sexism,
discrimination against the disabled, awkward and outrageous religious posturing,
empty self-righteousness, are drawing our Nation – which I call Turtle Island like
the Native
Americans call us -- dangerously close to fanaticism
and fascism. These are real and present situations that the Republican Party must
face head on, even as much of their established leadership plunges their heads
in the sands and ignores such vital issues. On the world stage, the fight
against Communism is still waged, even as Russia and Cuba are becoming viable
trading partners with many dollars to share and invest in our country, our
communities, and our Black people. Such trade must be supported, not curbed…. Such
ideological political lines { Communism Vs. Capitalism } are meaningless because what matters is if a
country can feed Her people, & share in the rich human world experience,
while using negotiation, cultural exchanges, educational exchanges, cooperation
to gain from the natural human quest towards true freedom & economic
stability. The world establishment of effective populist democracy can
only gain from such honest and uncorrupted sharing of culture & financial
wealth. Honest citizens want peace and honesty in our foreign policies and in
the honest creation of such far-reaching, and decent government & individual
policy considerations. The fair payment
of REPARATIONS must be part of this glorious puzzle, as well… . Force and weaponry are outmoded, dangerous,
and life threatening. Weapons must be, as late Radio Host Reggie Bryant of
WURD and the Point says, weapons must be ``thrown into the ocean.’’ People should always come before money,
and this is something the Republicans have yet to learn. My feeling
is Revolutionary & progressive Black People are just the right People to
teach this lesson to the Republicans { & the Democrats } and this is also part
of the reason I joined the Republican Party.

Important Letter about our Black Youth & Super Markets. ..

February 22nd, 2019 Friday
About Plastic Bags in the Super Market
ShopRite of Glenolden
140 North Macdade Blvd
Glenolden, Pennsylvania 19036-1224
1 ( 609) 461 2572
Store Owner / Parent Companies /
I like Shop Rite & Fresh Grocer.
I like the fresh vegetables & Fruits especially. I also like the fresh meat like free-Range chicken, fresh ground turkey, & fresh lamb - I rarely buy or eat lamb.
I like the fact that, in my neighborhood, you hire many Black youths who really need to develop a better work ethic. I like the [ fact ] that the stores are kept clean & orderly. You even hire some Black managers which, frankly, I LOVe.
Now, I’m going to tell you somethings I really don’t like. I don’t like the fact that your stores & the federal & state government has seen fit to sell alcohol in your stores. Let me repeat -- I don’t like, at all, How you are now selling what my friends the Native Americans call Fire Water to People in your store. There was a good, well-paying system in place in Pennsylvania of State Stores which provided good-paying union jobs & which was much better at making sure minor youth never bought Fire Water because such sales undermine their education & hinder them from thinking correctly and clearly for their vastly important studies. Alcohol is far too easy for Black People & Black youth to buy. Alcohol abuse doesn’t have to break up families, destroy futures, lead to illegal drug abuse & so forth. I want you to join me in expressing to the Black church where you have stores that our Black Youth don’t need to be buying beer, wine & stronger alcohol anywhere at all. You need to GooGle ``What alcohol Does to the human Body’’ & strongly consider taking sales out of the Super Markets. Meanwhile, I will be putting this letter on My Blog & sending hard copies to my congressman, my state Senator & my city council representative. Our Black youths must listen & pay attention in school, not bring wine, beer, & other alcohol to school which is at the core of disobeying & disrespecting & disrupting our schools. Such massive sales of alcohol are not R-E-S-P-E-C-T-F-U-L-L of our Black youth, our Black families & our Black Business Network, which also does not need to sell wine & beer or other alcoholic products at their store locations.
Another thing I really don’t like about the Super market is the fact that at any given store I & many other shoppers can spend as much as 5 minutes trying to pull the plastic fruit & vegetable bags apart. This is ridiculous! This ``process’’ is very frustrating & a waste of shopper’s time. If you take 5 minutes for each fruit or vegetable item you can see your sales productivity going right out the window. Contact the bag producers & have them make the bags so that they pull apart more easily. I promise you, I will write them also. Something must be done about this immediately! Please, & I thank you.
The final thing I want you to do is stop jamming sodas, crappy processed baked goods, fattening cakes, brownies, & sugary cereals in the front of the store where people first come into the store. I have very much noticed that this is not done at super markets in White neighborhoods. Black people who really don’t need to be buying such health-stealing items, don’t need to be relied upon to buy these items almost without thinking just because they are in the front of the stores.
The item about the plastic food bags, -- please don’t overlook this. It is at the crux of why I wrote this letter in the first place. I understand that store productivity is very important if I want to see more Black youths hired by your stores. Believe me, I have been a successful advocate for Black People and Black youth for decades so this is very, very important to me. I just turned down an offer from a major been distributor for sponsorship of my corporation. I did accept a Coco-Cola endorsement, but ONLY for the sugar-free sodas, not regular Coco-Cola or Diet Cola. I work very hard to be consistent, balanced, and fair. Remember I started this letter by saying HOW much I appreciated the great things you are doing. This letter will be circulated on the NET & on my very popular Blog. If you feel I have been unfair to you, please call me at my small home office, and I will negotiate with you as to HOW I can change it for the better. Forgive me if I have used harsh words here. I have not done the research, but the availability of alcohol is undoubtedly connected with our Black youth’s behavior problems and their ability to learn properly in school. Availability of alcohol is also hindering our Black youth in area colleges and is fuel for the fires that inflame bad relations between police and the Black community. This letter is also set to go out to Black parent’s groups; Black community groups; Black fraternities and Black sororities; & Black churches. I thank you for kindly reading this letter.

Everybody LOVes Chris!
Have you ever watched the television show called ``Everybody hates Chris’’?
I often wondered why on earth a lot of people everybody, would hate such a kind,
funny little BLACK boy as Chris Rock when He was a child. What do you think?
Have you ever watched the television program called ``Everybody Loves
Raymond’’? I often wondered why everybody would love an obnoxious Italian
man like Raymond, when He is a lazy, inactive sports fan, who doesn’t even make
LOVe to His wife on a regular basis. Hold Up. Hold Up. Stop before you hoot.
I am not writing this to pit The Italian community against the
Black community. IF you have read my
blog you saw an article about a Black man who was a friend of mine who was half
Italian. His name was Shawn Peretta. He worked with me at TV Guide magazine, and was one of the kindest, nicest men I
ever knew. Unfortunately, He died
suddenly of a heart attack on the basketball court. Shawn was in great shape and was very young.
He was about 36 years old and successfully graduated from Villanova Law School,
while He worked with me at TV Guide magazine.
I was honored to know Shawn, and He spent His days with a smile and
always made people laugh. I have rarely seen
a more handsome and beautiful man. His
father was Italian and His mother was Black, or African American. Shawn had to be very smart because He made it
through Law School, something I bombed out at when I took just one pre-Law
class at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. I have always liked Black men who were
intelligent, strong and have a nice smile. I will never forget Shawn. His death tells me every day to be thankful
for the precious time we have on this great planet earth. Keep exercising; eat
less fat and more fruits and vegetables.
And by all means, don’t hate on people because of their race, their
religion, or their sexual orientation, sex, or personal life. Shawn was actually a great teacher! Did you
ever know anyone who never raised His voice and never seemed to get angry,
cross, or up -set. That was Shawn!
Welcome to Turtle Island
The United Snakes of America as Opposed to Turtle Island.
A friend of mine
calls our country the United Snakes of America. I immediately took issue with
Her because what this statement does is unify the enemies in our country as a
force to attempt to take away our the Black progress we have made. When you speak such words into the universe,
you end up empowering people who are against you. This is NOT a wise thing to do.
On the other hand,
I call our country Turtle Island.
This is the term used for the United States of America that is used by
Native People. This unifies our country
under its rightful owner – the Native American People, who were all but, at one
point, almost exterminated from their own homeland, by invaders. They were once forced to live on reservations
and had to walk what was then called the Trail of Tears. This was their walking
in a forced manner, across the country during brutal weather. They lost hundreds of people that year. But now, Native Americans have a bright
future and own aver 30 Native American colleges, through the American Indian
College Fund. I am very proud of them
because Native blood flows through the vanes of many African Americans. They also own some casinos in this Turtle
Island, and are making money to work towards getting their people fed, getting
off of illegal drugs and alcohol, and finding a purpose to live for. Thank you
for listening to me today.
Brother Tracy Charles Gibson…..
Harassment & Discrimination Ends Today.
Dear, Senator Vincent
Hughes; City Councilwoman Blondell Reynolds Brown; & Congressman Dwight
Evans:
I am Mr. Tracy Charles Gibson. You may know that I am a Black activist in the
Black community with local, state-wide, national and international interests
and concerns. I work on such issues as
Black youth issues like better education & better opportunities for
physical exercise and sports; advocating for access to the arts, entertainment
& high cultural events such as dance, film & movie showings, song,
concerts, etc. This access is for the
general poor residents of Philadelphia and Black poor people. I also work in
Public Relations, Advertising & philanthropy
and plan to continue giving sums of money back to other private, public, non-profit and charitable organizations
who work on Black issues & concerns.
Providing lectures and discussions on these subjects to the
Black public & the general public.
I have faced a massive problem with running my company in
the Black for the last 13 years since we were incorporated on December 18th,
2006. We have been harassed by the
federal government and discriminated against by local, state and federal
governments and agencies; we have also applied for certain statuses with the
City government of Philadelphia such as benefits for our corporations being run
and owned by a disabled person – namely our parent company, Brother Tracy Gibson & Assoc., Inc., and our sixteen subsidiaries. It is my hope and prayer that you can
do something about this problem as I fully expect and anticipate to provide
some 400 jobs in the Philadelphia area in the next three months. If I am
hindered by such atrocious behaviors by governments, I am hindered in my
important and vital work. This message
will be sent to three law firms that are helping me with my work by
representing my corporate interests legally.
I thank you for the assistance you can offer. I can be reached at 1 { 215 } 823 – 9985
during the work week and during regular work hours. Please leave me a message
if I am not in my home office.
Viva Riva
``Viva Riva,’’ is a highly Westernized African film which doesn’t include one positive, good, ethical character in a major role. It is a lose story following the violent adventures of a gas / oil broker and His LOVe of a – typically – light-skinned Black woman whose boyfriend is a neighborhood thug. Set in Kinshasa, Congo == the story falls apart before it even starts, but is well-acted, considering what they had to work with, by a troupe of actors working hard to put forth a Western, Americanized flair to their style.
One scene has another violent thug telling Riva His Country -- Congo – is a pile of crap and may have been better off as a victim of Portuguese colonialism. A view I take deep issue with.
Overt politics are non-existent here, but the quest for oil is at the base of the poorly contrived plot. Money, money, money it seems is still at the root of some evil.
There is no one here to take up the mantel for decency, incorruptibility, honor, fair play, loyalty and Peace.
I really hate to say this, but ``Viva Riva,’’ is a mimicking of ``Good Felloes’’ and ``Pritzie’s Honor’’ and other all-too-violent films by directors like Martin Scarsazie and Brian Depaulma. I expect a great deal more from my African Sisters and Brothers.
However, they need more than one chance to make such films and I Pray more come down the pike, but with more decent Black characters.
to kill a mocking bird
The real meat and potatoes of this movie from 1961 (check date) that finds a Black man (Brock Peters) charged with raping a White woman in the Ole South and a White liberal lawyer (Gregory Peck) , and hero of some sectors of the City including its' Black People-- defending Him, -- the Real meat and potatoes of this film is never really spoken or revealed. The subject, interfamily rape and incest, was most probably too heinous for the Hollywood of that day and time to deal with directly. The acting in this film, derived from the best-selling novel by Mr. Henry Lee with the same name, is stellar and unforgivingly raw. You don't want the film to end because it is so chilling and interesting. The Way the film, and I am sure the book, wraps and intersperses children and child actors into the plot makes it even more spectacular as such innocence and loss of innocence is also the focal point of this great film. Ms. Lee, who passed recently, was a superb writer who made the Peck / Lawyer character above reproach and a man of high integrity. What I thought would be interesting as well, would be if the racial roles were reversed. When you see the end of this film, you might have to think for a while about what I said at the beginning of this article. A major actor Robert Duvall, finds his early acting role here as Boo Riley. Then you too will be shocked. Look up some stats on child abuse and violent incest in the United States and your shock will turn to sorrow. This is Why just last week I sent a small donation to an anti child abuse agency with a Prayer that they are able to generate other funds and my own well wishes. Read the book, but if you don't have time or want to have an exciting evening, watch the movie as well. (This review needs updating for clarity & fact-checking).

My Experiences with Jews
About The Jewish People…
Some of us as Black people don’t like or even hate Jewish people. Most of us who feel this way are falling into lock step with some of our National and International leaders who we perceive of as progressive or who we perceive of as having the best interest of the Black community at heart. Some Blacks who feel this way are also coming up with their own reasons, justifications and judgments for the way they feel. Some Black leaders seem misguided on this issue. I ask for a voice and patience. Some Black leaders may well have our best interests at heart as Black people in many ways, but hating Jewish people is not a solution. And certainly NOT a final solution… !!! What we need to do is analyze why these people are hated throughout the world, especially within the Muslim and Islamic world, and come to some conclusions as to how we can improve relations with Jewish people and help them to see the error of their ways. We also need to do this WITHOUT spending too much time and Capital on this because the problems of Black people should and must be our main concern. The reason for this is that we are a vastly poorer and less enfranchised people than just about every race on the planet and all of us—as Black people--need to take a hand in helping other Black people. God helps those who help themselves. I have made a proposal here that I think can help Black and Jewish people at the same time..., but working TOGETHER is crucial…
Jewish people are seen by many of us as a people of means. Wealthy, rich, established, successful business owners, entrepreneurs, philanthropists, profiteers, Wall Street executives, stock brokers, wealthy and connected lawyers, men and women of medicine, real estate tycoons, property owners, landlords, diamond mine owners, movie moguls, movie directors, movie producers, record company owners and producers, talent managers, TV executives, over-paid actors, successful advertising executives, merchants, accountants, money changers and bankers. These are the jobs that we envision Jewish people as having. (Certainly there are various other jobs of stature and merit that Jewish people also have such as teacher, mail carrier and so forth.) We as Black people, also have a tendency to envision Jewish people as running rough shod over the rest of us through the jobs they hold and how they maintain money for themselves and how they manage & control money. This perception is often at the root of why we hate, dislike, resent, feel jealous of or otherwise have distain for the Jewish people.
I have to say that the perceptions we have of Jewish people and money are largely correct. They do own a lot of businesses and manage money well. It is not an empty stereotype. Walter Annenberg died one of the richest people in the world. He disavowed his Jewish religion, but he was born a Jewish person. DeBeers is a family of diamond merchants who literally took billions of dollars in diamonds out of Africa and found ways exploit African labor and to merchandise these diamonds throughout the world. There are several other Jewish families that have gone into business and done very well—very, very well indeed. Does this mean we should resent them and not wish them well? No, not necessarily. Does it mean that we should be more like them? I say a definite NO to that also. So what’s the problem? Many of us have thrown our hands up and not taken a close look at the situation.
(I have to admit here that I have a different view of Jewish people than most Black people have. I have a tendency to find Jewish people very friendly and even funny. For example I think the humor of a Mel Brooks or a Woody Alan is phenomenal. I feel that if we can’t laugh in this world once in a while, what the heck are we here for anyway!! I like their culture and food. I have ALWAYS had Jewish friends. An older Jewish man who had befriended my father loaned me $800.00 when my father had NO MONEY to do so. I was able to take that $800.00 and parlay it into home ownership. It was the first home, an investment property, I had ever owned. I was 26 years old at the time. The income from my history of home ownership, which started from that loan, has brought me some $300,000.00 over about 25 years. I have no reason to hate Jewish people and am forever thankful for what they have done for me and for other Black people.)
Upon closer analysis, one can see that the Jewish people have done some homework we, as Black people, haven’t done. At the same time, however, we have certain innate mechanisms within us that don’t allow us, in mass, to exploit other people the way some Jewish people have done and continue to do to many poor and working people throughout the world... We are a more giving people and we have paid a dear price for that. But, we don’t have to continue to be walked on by so many of the other races & religions on the planet as we move forward into a New Year and a new decade. We can stand up for ourselves economically, face the music & learn how to love ourselves and be proud of the hard earned achievements we have made and will continue to make in America and elsewhere. And we can also expect better for ourselves as Black people…
Including Jewish people in on solutions for Africans—especially considering the new influence that Islam has among Blacks—makes this statement very controversial. But some clear and forthright thinking is needed here.
I am NOT saying that all Jewish people walk on Black people economically--far from it. Many Jewish people love to give back to the less fortunate. And they have given back to Blacks while giving back to the less fortunate on many occasions. What I am saying is that they don’t go out of their way to make sure that we get what we need economically. (Ultimately making sure we as Black people have what we need is up to us as Black people, not the government or any other group, religion or entity). Jewish people basically teach their children to take care of the family businesses and what happens is that all their money basically remains in the hands of other future Jewish generations. To ask them to do much else would be for them to perform a herculean task because most people look out for themselves. Black people are some of the last people on earth to understand & learn that this is a good way to survive and thrive into the future—by looking out for number one—you and your family, your friends and your people.
Certainly there are some people among us who have learned this lesson long ago such as Marcus Garvey, the Black Muslims and some Black millionaires and a few Black billionaires. They have learned to give back to the Black community while helping themselves. They have started progressive programs to re-build our people and our community and give back to the Black community. People like Danny Glover and Kenny Gamble come to mind also…
So we are learning. One thing we are learning is what Spike Lee learned before he went into filmmaking school. That is that if we as Black people concentrate ourselves in more of the lucrative & pervasive fields of study we will make out better as a people. Spike went into filmmaking school at New York University because he saw an opportunity to make money and to have some influence over what people do and think. The film industry creates images of people here in North America that are shared & seen throughout the world. This was a good reason to go into filmmaking. But with that decision comes the responsibility to make good products. He has done that and we could use another one hundred & fifty Spike Lees, both male and female. We can use more Spike Lees & people like him to help promote and advance the race, the progressive point of view and to give hope and more love to all of humanity…
Even through there are many other such examples, we are behind the eight ball right now as Black people. We need to not only learn new fields of study that are new, lucrative & pervasive, we also need to gain more influence with people who have, in some instances, turned their backs to us and let us dry up and die like dead fruit on the vine. There was some good relations between Jewish people and Black people through the Civil Rights movement of the 1960’s and 1970’s, (Some Jewish People, in fact died right along side of us) but for the most part the Jewish people have tended in the most recent past, to take care of their own and not worry so much about us. (The real truth is that many Jewish people made advances through Civil Rights and then turned their backs on the Black cause). The fact that Jewish people have concentrated themselves in the fields that make a great deal of money, ergo. Wall Street, advertising, the movie industry, accounting, record companies, corporate management, the legal profession, medicine and banking—is both a curse and a blessing. It is a curse because other ethnic groups look on in envy and, if they are not informed, may be out for blood.* [A little nasty secret about the rise of Adolph Hitler in Nazi Germany in the 1930’s was the fact that Jewish People were observed as having undue control & influence over much of the German economy when Hitler came to power. Hitler capitalized on this and made Jewish People scapegoats. A similar economic situation—with Jewish people in positions of controlling economic power—is presently taking hold in North America, I am afraid to say. This is of great concern to me as a progressive thinker and as a writer]. The blessings of having a lot of economic power & money are obvious—the Jewish people have the cash to make the positive changes and exert the influence & leverage as they see fit to do. This is one of the reasons why the United States has such staunch support for the State of Israel and on the other hand the Black community’s lack of influence is why the entire continent of Africa gets lit service and crumbs from the table. Certainly Black people could benefit from taking on fields of study that are more lucrative, but I feel our hearts have to be in the work. While Blacks in America are in many lucrative fields and just about all fields of study, many Black men and Black women find a calling in the study of theology and a dedication to Jesus Christ. Maybe such study could be augmented and mixed with other more lucrative study. Some Black preachers, male and female, have also made Big Bucks and have produced what has been come to be called ``Mega Churches’’…. I would be interested to know what you think of Black people taking up fields of study that are perceived as being more lucrative. If you write me at BrotherTracy11@GMail.Com, remember, sometimes it is not what you know but who you know. Include an assessment of that statement with your analysis & messages to me as well…
Moreover, one might ask: why have Blacks and Jews not gotten along recently & how do we work ourselves past this roadblock? Calling Jewish People Zionists and alienating ourselves from their community is not going to get us any play any time soon. Unfortunately, this is what many Black Nationalists do. They feel Mo Better about themselves the more they call Jewish people who want a homeland Zionists and point an ever-threatening finger at them. This isn’t helping their community or ours. I have many Jewish friends and most of them are stanch anti-Zionists. I want more Jewish friends. I want to help Jewish people who want another Homeland to work with me at getting a Homeland outside of Israel and, in fact, I want their new Homeland to be in Africa. I know I’ll catch Hell from many Black friends for saying that, but I think it is a solution for Black Africans and for Jewish people alike.
I want more Jewish People to settle into parts of Africa, preferably into the area around Mozambique, Zambia and Zimbabwe. I have no contact with the governments there at this time and this is only on paper now, but I think it can work. Why do I think this can work? Some adventurous Jewish people could vow to work with the indigenous people of this African region and teach them management skills for business, learn the language, and help them as doctors and lawyers and so forth. Certainly the indigenous peoples would have something to teach the Jewish people also. Certainly there are Jewish people who want OUT of the current stranglehold and desperate situation they find themselves in with the Palestinian people and other Muslims in Israel and the surrounding states & regions. (The Middle East crisis probably won’t be totally solved by anything I propose here, but I think tensions can be lessened and the whole picture can be made clearer.) There would have to be certain regulations put into place that made sure that the incoming Jewish people would relinquish their rights to self govern for a number of years until they could set up a stable state. This state would be governed by Black Africans with the minority holding a MINORITY share of power—that would be for progressive Jewish people. I am NOT talking about an influx of the right wing kind of Jewish people taking hold as there are in Israel right now... So don’t get me wrong… That would never work. There would need to be all kinds of regulations and balances for power to be shared & to make sure that Black Africans, indigenous to the area, held most of the power for quite some time. This region could become a Mecca for development as more and more lives were saved as indigenous peoples overcame the diseases that are in that area right now. This could also have a positive impact on famine, lack of water and other problems in the region. Also: as more professionals came in who are of Jewish descent they could lend their professions to stabilizing the region. The whole project would get great media attention and be seen as a solution & a constructive alternative to some of the strife and violence in that region….
One thing that would have to take place for this to work is for a real study to be done to find out just how much land is already owned by Jewish people in all the African countries in the first place. I know they have land holdings in many regions, but especially in South Africa.
I also think there is a big need for more input and help from African Americans and other Black people throughout the world to make such a build up & reconstruction work. It would also be very important for any building to be green and sustainable. There would have to be provisions for wild life and any such development, as we have said, would HAVE to be eco-friendly. This is a small part of my developing proposal on the Middle East (A Sane Solution for the Middle East) included in Chapter 14 of this book.
There are other considerations. This project would take decades and would need a legal and economic foundation as well as governmental support from Africans, the U.S. government, the United Nations and from some progressive factions in Israel and many Muslim Nations. One of the other considerations is the fact that there is a strong and growing Muslim stream of influence running through the Black community both within Africa and other parts of the world including in the U.S. This would have to be dealt with in an inclusive, positive and proactive way. I feel other factions could help in this development of Africa. Any leadership among Africans (and Jewish people also) who will control this project would have to be in rotation to help avoid corruption and undue influence of too many powerful individuals. The African Union, I would hope, would want to take part, even though they will possibly not understand or be very suspicious of the effort at first.
What I’m saying is that this Jewish Development, may end up being an International Mecca for all people to find a refuge of peace, stability and solace—not just Jewish or African people. I envision this happening and plan to work towards it’s fruition in the very near future… All dreams start with a vision…
reaching Mental Health
Mental Health—No More Heads in the Sand…..
I have been hospitalized for depression, nervous upsets and bipolar illness about seven (7) times. Each hospitalization was a journey to another place in my development as a human being. It still isn’t easy to talk about after ten years of NOT being hospitalized…
One thing is for sure, I know I’m not alone. I know there are millions of Americans and thousands upon thousands of Black Americans who have a mental illness. It is funny, or not so funny, how other people don’t understand mental illness. They see you and think you can work at a regular job. They don’t know the pain and anguish that goes with being hospitalized and having to take medicine and go to therapy for over 30 years. It all grates on the soul and takes a toll on the spirit, but it also saves the spirit and leads to a path of renewal and survival. There are many, many rewards for taking your head out of the sand and dealing with your issues as a person with some seemingly insurmountable problems that only a therapist can help you work through. There are a lot of people in the world who say to themselves each and every day ``I’m OK, I don’t need a psychiatrist!!’’ Well let me tell you EVERYBODY on the planet can benefit from therapy and many millions of people NEED to be in therapy.
Don’t let someone else’s ideas about a ``stigma’’ stop you from getting the help you need. It seems like only about a month ago that my sister sat with me at a hospital reception area (in West Philadelphia) and tried to convince me for about an hour to sign myself in for that first time evaluative stay. I would have none of it. I wasn’t cooperating because I had bought into the significant and lasting ``stigma’’ that is berried in each American’s head about therapy and getting psychiatric help. Lucky for me my Brother-in-law is a doctor and had just met a Black psychiatrist on a plane ride who ended up being my first psychiatrist. He was a Black psychiatrist who I would be seeing once a week for quite some time and then once every other week. (He ended up being my psychiatrist for about 10 years and he helped me through some of the toughest days of my adult life)…. He diagnosed me with bipolar illness after the first two months. It was hard because he knew about the depression, but it wasn’t until I went off the deep end with laughter that he saw the manifestation of the Manic or (UP) side of the equation. After that he knew about both sides of the coin—the too up and the too down side.
It took years of crying & agony in therapy to work through what I felt was my emotional mistreatment and emotional abuse as a child to come to grips with the fact that my parents did the best they could do and that I had had a very happy and fairly stable childhood for a Black child growing up with the American inner city experience…. What was really the problem was a chemical imbalance that could, thank GOD, be treated with medication and therapy. I have met people in hospital stays who could NOT be helped with medication. I remember having a very sobering feeling at meeting a White gentleman who was like that. I remember feeling like the luckiest person in the world just because there was medicine to treat what was wrong with me—even though it made me gain weight and have some other fairly minor side effects. I can’t begin to tell you how bad I felt for the White gentleman who was losing hope fast because his medicine didn’t seem to be working…
How did it all happen? I remember the long train ride from New York to Philadelphia. My mind was on fire. Burning up with what I would discover in about six months as being bipolar illness. I had lost it all in New York. One day I went to work at my job at TV Guide Magazine and I just couldn’t cope. I couldn’t sit still. I was antsy all day and my Boss, well he knew something was wrong. I took off in the afternoon… I don’t even remember if I ate lunch or not. I left work and walked to Harlem from Midtown Manhattan. I WALKED to 135th street to see my sister. I walked all the way to her apartment building, or what I thought was her apartment building. I went up stairs and knocked on her door. Things looked strange. There was a lady I talked with as I walked through Harlem who I said would have been ``my wife’’. I said this to her, a complete stranger… She looked at me and saw the fire in my eyes and moved away quickly. I knocked on my sister’s door and I had the wrong door. I knocked on another door and it was still not right. I was in the WRONG BUILDING… My mind and my head were almost literally spinning with the heat of depression, anger and the impending mental illness I would struggle with for a generation. I walked back to midtown Manhattan and made it somehow to my small railroad apartment near the Better Days Night spot. I had my roommate, a White man from West Virginia, call my sister and my brother-in-law. I was reeling with instability, anger and depression. It seemed to take them only minutes to get there, but it was more like an hour. I believe they had already been alerted by my boss that something was dreadfully wrong with me that day at work.
Then there was the frantic train ride to Philadelphia. My Mother and my Sister took me to Philadelphia with just the clothing on my back. It must have been the next day. Again I am not sure. We stopped along the way, as the local trains do. I tried to get off the damned train!! Didn’t I realize what that did to these two women who had seen me through all my life until now? They were frightened to death at having this 6’ 4’’ Black man trying to leave them when he was in such a state. Somehow they convinced me to sit down and take it easy until we got back to Philly. I must have been talking some gibberish and laughing a bit also. They must have been wondering what in God’s name had gotten into me. What was wrong with me…
I stayed overnight at my Mother’s house on 49th street in Philly. It was a totally restless night. My sister slept in the bed with me because my Mom and sister were both very afraid I would go off again somewhere. I had terrible dreams. I was up and out of the bed and to the bathroom and frightened out of my mind all night... I was not on medicine yet and had NEVER seen a therapist at that point except one family therapy session with the entire family. I was going mad. Through a process of what seemed like osmosis I had an orgasm, fully dressed and without ANY sexual closeness or manipulation from anyone including myself. Now that was really crazy!! I was almost possessed with some spirit or GOD or Voodoo or some African villager I had never met. What the Hell was going on with me? Only GOD knew! Maybe it was the Devil or something worse. It seemed worse than anything I had ever experienced in my 24 years of life up until that point or really ever since then. I am now 53 and it was the most fearsome & frightening experience I have ever had.
My sister got me to The Hospital (Now Mercy Hospital) in West Philly. Naturally, being totally out of my mind, I didn’t want to sign myself in. My sister, GOD bless her, she sat there and argued and cajoled with me for an hour or two begging me to get the help I needed. I finally signed the papers. She took the time and had the GOD-like patience to see that this was best for me… She did not 302 me or try to sign me in without my permission. My mind continued to race faster than Malcolm X could spit out his words of fire in the 1960’s. I saw some workmen across the street as they fixed the roof on a building. I thought of my Father because he was always fixing buildings and climbing ladders and walking on roofs as a landlord in West Philly…. I wondered where Dad was. I didn’t know. Maybe he just didn’t understand this aspect about his son either. I know that he cared deeply about me, but that he didn’t really know what to do to show that he cared or how to show that caring side of himself… The workmen’s work was not unlike the way Dad and I had probably done a few times before I moved to New York or when I was younger. They gave me some cogenten and some other medication called haldol. I would be taking such medicine for the rest of my life up until right now, this very second, anti-depressants are in my system.
The Hospital ambulance took me from THE HOSPITAL to another facility that dealt solely with mental illness. The word stung me as bad as the disease did. You are now mentally ill. You will never amount to anything. You will be helpless as a jellyfish on a hot stove. You ain’t shit Nigger!! Go to HELL. The voices were not only in my head, but in my thinking as well. We made it to Fairmount Institute and my life began a long journey towards healing and of processing what had happened. I was in group sessions and individual therapy where I talked about my hatreds and my passions and my fears and my paranoid feelings and I took medicine and I grew stronger mentally every day... I also read some books and made some new friends and did some drawings. This all helped cool down and slow down my thinking. In three months I would start a job at TV Guide in Radnor, Pennsylvania... That was the beginning of another journey—one filled with potholes, hills and valleys, rewards, oddities, friends, strange kooky people, and various friendly and not so friendly relations with people of every ethnic stripe. I was thankful to GOD & my family that at least another segment of my life would begin. GOD had other plans for me and other work that would take me into the future. I thought I was going to die, but I didn’t. I had made it through a vortex, but there was more to come.
Why I Am a Republican -- NOT the Reasons You Think
Why I Am a Republican –
Not the Reasons You Think
By Tracy Charles Gibson
I , Mr. Tracy Charles Gibson, joined the Republican Party about two years ago
for three major reasons.
1] As I was healing and recovering from depression and being
treated for high blood pressure over the last 20 years, the Democratic Party never really took
interests in me to help me find a viable job. { I have to admit that City
Councilwoman Jannie L. Blackwell was the exception to the rule. She actually sent out resumes and work
requests for me several years ago, but I still could not find a job. }. All I needed was about 20 hours a week of
work, but it was not forthcoming. This frustrated me so I joined the Republican
Party, partially in protest to the entrenched Democratic control of
Philadelphia’s political system and Black voters. In
reading this, please note that I have a history of mental instability that has
to be considered at any job I hold, but mostly I want to work for myself at my
own company. Most of the mental
instability has stabilized itself after some 37 years of therapy and effective medications
-- both of these effective healing
elements { medications & therapy } I have successfully continued with.
2] I also joined the Republican
Party because I feel the Republican Party, if stripped from its more extreme
views, right-wing ideologies, hatefulness, and racism, is actually a more
effective formation for success for Black people because the Republicans ``talk’’
about building a lucrative business foundation as opposed to relying of public
works projects & social programs.
Like my Grandfather, Mr. Saint Clair Gibson, I want to see our Black people
advance at business ownership, both small, middle sized and large
businesses. These business MUST be run
properly, responsible, well-managed, professional, unfettered by White, Arab, Asian
or Latin interests, except where necessary and agreed upon, and have
affordable, top-flight Black security staff to protect us from harm and business
interruptions. We must also protect
ourselves as Black business professionals and the Black businesses themselves from
computer hacking, computer fraud, phone
deceptions, mail fraud, government harassment, discrimination, and other social
and or political concerns that are sometimes designed to stop Black businesses
in their tracks. In a nut shell,
successful Black businesses running smoothly, are a much bigger asset and a
much more effective stabilizing force in our Black community and among our
Black people than social programs that are often washed away with elections,
political bickering in Washington, on the state level, and locally. Creating a source for Black jobs and Black financial self -sufficiency –individual and
corporate -- is very important and has been proven to stabilize Black families,
help our Black youth with their studies and with their increased values, and
help us as Black people by creating balance and stability in Black churches, and
Black private schools, Black public schools and Black charter school.
3] It cannot be stressed enough that the problems of racism,
homophobia, transphobia, Xenophobia, Islamophobia,
sexism, discrimination against the disabled, awkward and outrageous religious posturing, empty self-righteousness, are
drawing our Nation – which I call Turtle Island like the Native Americans do -- dangerously close to fanaticism and fascism. These are real and present situations that the
Republican Party must face head on,
even as much of their established leadership plunges their heads in the sands
and ignores such vital issues. On the world stage, the fight against Communism
is still waged, even as Russia and Cuba are becoming viable trading partners
with many dollars to share and invest in our country. Such ideological political lines are
meaningless as what matters is if a country can feed Her people, & share in
the rich human world experience, while using negotiation, cultural exchanges,
educational exchanges, cooperation and gain from the natural human quest
towards true freedom & the world establishment of effective populist democracy. Force and weaponry are outmoded,
dangerous, and life threatening. People
should always come before money, and this is something the Republicans have yet
to learn. My feeling is Revolutionary
& progressive Black People are just the right People to teach this lesson
to the Republicans and this is art of the reason I joined the Republican Party.

An open letter to the Russian Federation
An Open Letter to the Russian Federation…!!!
PEOPLE POWER NOT MILITARY MIGHT ON MAY DAY!!
Just moments ago I wrote the Cuban Mission to the United Nations; A friend who represents the African National Congress [South Africa's Governing Body] here in Philadelphia; the United Nations Mission to North Korea; and the Gates Foundation about How it would be such a great thing for Socialist countries like China, Cuba and the Russian Federation to NOT SHOW their military might in the media this May Day, but instead, use the arts like film, theatre, dance, Street Theatre, other Progressive media & Children's Puppet Shows, to present to the world what they do to bolster Peace and work towards ending disease in the world & in their respective countries. A similar letter will be sent to Brazil, Sweden, Namibia and Angola. The arts have always been a magnificent Way to show growth and development in a country and present peacefully How countries and Peoples can build on more positive aspects of their nations. Culture is very powerful, especially when it is used for Peace and not propaganda. [That goes for Capitalist and Socialist.]. One of the problems we are having in the United States is our young Black People being abused and hurt unjustly by our police. It is going on in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and far too many other areas of our fair nation. We need your solutions to help us stop this useless violence. Let us know what to do. Let us hear from you. Give our leaders and our community People your advice.
Military Might on the part of the Socialist countries has ALWAYS been used to leverage more military spending in the United States of Native America. The flashy armaments of Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua have been used in the past to scare the People of the United States into supporting more and broadened military spending in the Administration, Congress & at the Pentagon. The time has come for this military build up to STOP IT IS COSTING WAY TOO MANY LIVES AND TOO MUCH MONEY!!!!!!!!!
The back and forth bickering that is replacing diplomacy has to change as well. It is time for the real People in these countries like the United States of Native America to have a major say in foreign policy and the keeping of Peace and economic opportunity in all countries. The People want Peace. Even those who fight our wars want Peace and want to work in non-military jobs, but they do want security for our People here in North America, [The United States of Native America]. I know the military workers in The Russian Federation , the military Doctors, the military nurses--I know they also want Peace and an end to war and more Olive Branches instead of war.
Ask a United States veteran who lost a limb in Viet Nam; ask a nurse who lost Her vision in Iraq; ask the general population walking down the street in Saint Louis and they will tell you the same thing--we want Peace and Security and we want jobs not more military spending. I hope you will do whatever you can to help your own government in the Russian Federation and other Socialist countries like Cuba, to NOT show their military hardware at all this year, but show their progress for People. What has been done to get more food to People; what is being done to get more housing for People; what is being done for more openness and freedom for the average man, the average child& the average woman in the Russian Federation and in Cuba. Are People outside of the government officials and the most loyal to the ruling party getting the services and housing and food and opportunities they need and deserve. Do People have clean air and clean water. We have problems with these issues right here in the United States of Native America as well. If the United States government and our corporations--especially the large ones--are responsible for your woes; please point this out to People like me who can relay this information to our People. While we are working on developing a free society, we also have a rich, money-owned media which decides to play stories the way the rich and the Capitalist want to hear them. Sometimes the truth gets lost. We need all sources to be honest and fair and ask for help when they need it. We as North Americans, want to understand the Russian Federation's population better and we want more opportunity for as many People as possible. If there is anything at all my company can do to help build Peace and Understanding please let me know. An exclusive letter to the Kennedy's
Dear
Ms Kennedy:
(This message is
personal & Confidential. It is sent only to you and no one else. )..
I want to thank you, first, for being a survivor of what is still too
often a cruel and unusual system in the way women are treated, hired, promoted
& appreciated. The pain your family endured during an even more
turbulent time in our history, was not only insurmountable, but led me to morn
for the entire family for about two decades, without even knowing the root
causes of my own personal sadness. On a brighter note, we as Turtle
Island residents would like to see more of the Kennedy Family in the public.
I can guarantee more stringent safety efforts will be in place as you take on
more public events -- both public & private. Frankly ,
& I know you must get tired of this, frankly you don't have to make any
excuses for any behaviors back in the day, because we all need to learn HOW to
forgive, do better and move forward with more positive thoughts & actions
in the future. This includes me & I know for sure this is not easy. I
commend your entire family for the magnificent work you have done and continue
to do for the environment & in social justice. They have NOT beat
down the legend of your father and mother in my mind, and never will.
Yes, I'm sucking up, but I thought your personal wealth was much more than what
I read on Wikipedia (Too nosy for my own good)
. My
feeling is that when the Native Americans get the Blessings from all North Americans (
& GOD ) they deserve, we will all be blessed beyond anything we could ever
imagine. The same goes for Black People. Jewish People must come to terms
with a few things also, as we all must. Please excuse my wordiness, but I
must say one of the things we MUST teach our children is that life doesn't
start as we are born after nine months. Life for each of us started some
200,000 years ago and it took that long for each of us to be ``born'' as a member
of humanity & part of the human legacy, stemming from Africa and Asia. We
often take for granted. Bringing life, vigor ( If I might use a word made
famous by your Father ) decency, honor & respect to the human condition can
be found among Republicans and Democrats, Communists and Capitalists -- and
within every race & religion of people on this earth as well. I
already know of the tremendous generosity of members of your family and the
various foundations you work with, as well as HOW you have impacted on others
in a mighty good Way. One day I hope to meet you & I look
forward to this day. Meanwhile, know that GOD LOVes you no matter what,
& tremendously!

Peace & Blessings,
Gratefully True,
Brother Tracy Charles
Gibson,
Original God , & GOD
Almighty

more GOD than you or anyone else.
