The Unity Fellowship Church Movement…..God is Love and Love is for Everyone…..

There is a church movement afoot in the United States that has hit several states. It is rolling along nicely. It is an open, friendly, non-denominational movement that is Christ–based but very friendly towards people who are Same Gender Loving (SGL) or gay, bisexual, lesbian or transgendered. It was started by a brother in California in the 1980’s named Carl Beam, who is now a Bishop & Presiding Elder in the movement. It is a Black church, but it is open to all types of people. At Unity Fellowship—and there is a chapter in the Philadelphia area to which I am very friendly--having attended service several times—they don’t put people down who don’t fit the mold of a straight Christian White male. But if you are that you can worship there also. It is a spiritually healthy movement because it allows people to be themselves. It is not a gay church, but if you are that, you will feel comfortable there. Their theme is that GOD is love and Love if for everyone…

I haven not made it to their National Convocation as yet, but I hear it is something to behold. People really get a chance to discover and explore their spirituality and the word of GOD in a friendly setting for several days. As soon as I’m financially able, I plan to go to a National Convocation.

My good friend and Pastor, Reverend Jeff Haskins, started the Philadelphia branch with a few good people. It has NOT been easy for them. They have come a long way and made it through several struggles, dry spells and hard times. But they are still going on and doing well. I try to attend when I can. I haven’t actually joined the church, but I would do anything for them.

Some people who call themselves Christians spend a lot of time bad mouthing Unity Fellowship. I say God created SGL people for a reason. Some who sit high and mighty and judge will be the first to experience some of the sting and reality of GOD when the heat is turned up in the kitchen. It may well be that people like the followers of Unity Fellowship are the real chosen people because they are often the left out, the judged, the scorned, the poor and the rejected.

Certainly Unity Fellowship has found peace and acceptance among some of the churches in Philadelphia, but I don’t think this has been an easy road to travel for them. Good roads that lead to good places often are not easy to travel.

I have wanted to help this church find a church home in the West Philadelphia area, but have been unable to do so at this juncture. I will not give up and hope you will understand my insistence and forthrightness in embracing this church and the loving members who have dedicated themselves to it.

Do you know how you attend church and then someone ask you what the sermon was about and you can’t answer the question? Well, recently I attended a service at Unity Fellowship in Philadelphia and they talked about forgiveness and family. Believe me I remembered the message because if was delivered clear and on point, even though the Pastor was not there that day. When I went to visit my elderly Father the next day I asked him to forgive me for not ``living up to his standards and expectations I life’’. He said he had long ago accepted things about me that were different from the general run of the mill Black male living in the United States. I was glad I asked anyway. It was refreshing and empowering to hear my Dad say that.

I plan to adopt children—not to find greater acceptance, but to have a greater legacy when I move on from this place. I am getting a late start at 53, but it is part of my plan in life. Most Black SGL people don’t adopt children. They make it a bit hard to do this and frankly, many of us are too busy with our lives to adopt and don’t have it as a desire or value. But things are changing. I am hoping to use the Unity Fellowship Church Movement as a resource during the adoption, after I adopt and on into the future.

Our Magnificent Black Penis is the envy of the world. After all these years, it still stands bold, strong, Black and powerful in the face of adversity and international threat. I don’t care how many of them were cut off during slavery, I don’t care how many of them were then shoved down our throats after they destroyed our babies and killed our women. The Magnificent Black Penis still stands as the envy of the world because we produce more babies and spread more cum than that old White srizzeled-up thang ever will be able to muster.

Black men--I don’t care if you are gay, straight, bisexual, Same Gender Loving, or transgendered--Black men were created to be the fathers of the world. We can be both loving and harsh, both creative and rugged, both worldly and community oriented. We can be both timely and old and new at the same time. There is something in the melanin of the Black man and Black woman that makes us unique and dominate. Call me a racist or a fool if you want to. I know what I’m talking about because I can look back and rediscover World History with new eyes and strip away what has been covered up.

We once sat the helm of governments in ancient Egypt and we are getting back into our posts as the International pyridine shift takes complete hold on the world and the Black man takes control of his real destiny. That is the destiny of a King, the Big Man on Campus, a leader, a master of men, but also a liberator, a lover a Man of Justice, a lover of knowledge and real truth, a peace maker and the Father of Mankind. That is why guns and bullets are bought by some like a made woman in a grocery store; that is what some think of when they lock us OUT of decision-making positions in the media and Big Business; that is why the powers that be continue to prop up illegal governments with CIA activities, and covert and or overt activities on foreign soil. That is why the powers that be continue to rape, pillage and destroy the artifacts of the world—to cover up their Non-White & African origins. Even if there is a fake Black face on such activities—eventually the cover up ends and the truth is discovered. The truth is being found out right now. That’s why the true and clearly thinking peoples of the world look at U.S. activities and existence in contempt and dismay—because as a Nation we soak up 35 percent of the world’s resources, goods and services and make up only about six percent of the world’s population. As a country we want more and more and want to deprive the Black Penis of what is due him. What can’t be taken in the Board Room they try to take in the Media room, on the battlefield and in the Bedroom. Get ready to wise up or face 911 again and again. It doesn’t matter if I as an individual want this justice or not, it is coming and it is unstoppable just like the tide of the ocean and the coming of morning is unstoppable. It is part of the natural flow of things. It is the Way. The hearing of evidence at the World Conference Against Racism in 2001 was stopped, but this change in the Way the World works will not be stopped!! I don’t care how many Right Wing victories there are and how many Right Wing Think Tanks there are to think up and implement any untold number of diabolical plots. The Way is changing. The path itself is changing and what it takes to walk the path is changing as well as what is at the end of that Path…

Why? Because the Magnificent Black Penis has betty davis eyes that understand pain, suffering, exploitation and hatred and injustice. It will not stand for any more of the past treatment it was receiving and now wants Real Justice to be part and parcel of the American and true-life way—the World Way—not what is read in story books but what is experienced in real life. It is NOT a Dick and Jane story any longer it is a Dick and Lamont story and a Dick and Vanessa story. And the story just won’t quit.

The Hollywood fantasy machine keeps kicking out ``King Kong’’ when we hand over script after script after script about true Black love and beauty; true Black struggle; true Black championship and excellence. True and real justice. (No Justice No Peace!!) We get rejection, rejection and more rejection. But we are coming into our own thanks to the work of the Black penis and the Black vigina over the years. The World Trade Center White Big International Business Dicks have been replaced with big patriotic holes in the ground. The truth will come out to the masses. More than a few things in recent world history were done to make more than a few people very angry—the WORLD over!! As we keep ignoring this fact (the cover-up) it is more and more guaranteed to come out through the work of our Black Magnificent Penis—sooner than one might think and better than ever. Case closed and guilty as charged!!

This blog is set up to give advice to the troubled or for those who just want to talk about a given situation to an elder Gay person. (I am 53, but very contemporary) I have a history of therapy that I think lends itself to giving clear, useful advice to all sorts of people.
